If  you  want  to understand  about  yoga  philosophy  in India,  it  will  be
helpful  to  get  a  broad  knowledge  of  the  Indian  tradition.

Indian  tradition has  been  in  the  oldest   Sanskrit  literature  and  has
influenced  on  the  world  today.



1) Vedic  literature


Vedic  literature  has  been  delivered  to  modern  world  through  an

oral   traditional  way.


2) Upanisads


Upanisads  was  created  by  the  seekers  of  reality.

The  high  esteem  in  which  upanisads  are  held  has  inspired  the  works
including  Yoga.


3) Bhagavad  Gita

Bhagavad  Gita  presents  the  important  concepts  and  it  describes
a  sitting  posture  for  meditation,  the  ideal  routine  and  observances
for  yogini,  the  states  of  meditation  and  the  way  to control  the  mind.




8  limbs

Yoga  has  eight  limbs

1) morals
     - The  basic  moral  restraint  is  non-violence.


2)observances,
     -The  observances  means  that  yoga   is  learning.


3)posture
     - Asana  means  "sitting  posture"  in  basic  term,  and  Patanjali  defined
       as  a  body  position.


4) breath 
     -Breath  control  is  a  suspension  of  inhalation  and  exhalation.


5)sense  
     -Sense  control  is  like  taking  a  sense  from  the  objects.


6)concentration
     -concentration  is  focused  on  mind.


7)meditation
    -Meditation  is  the  flow  of  awareness  in   the  object.


8)deep  meditation
   -Deep  meditation  is  called  as  "Samadhi".
